Terms of service

These terms are between you and [TBC — registered business name] of [TBC — registered address], Pakistan. Creating an account means you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind it.

Softbox generates photographs of products you supply, using models and scenes you choose, and can publish those photographs to a store you connect. It is a tool you operate: what it produces depends on what you give it and what you ask for.

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access. One person or business per account — do not resell access to it.

You confirm you own, or are licensed to use, every product photograph and every image you upload, and that generating new images from them breaks nobody else’s rights. Do not upload photographs of a real person as a model without that person’s permission.

Softbox may not be used to create images that are unlawful, that impersonate a real individual, that depict a minor, or that are sexual in nature. We may remove content and close accounts that do.

You do. Every photograph Softbox generates for you is yours to use, sell, print and publish, including commercially, and that survives the end of this agreement — images you have already published stay yours.

We claim no licence over them beyond what is needed to operate the service: storing them, showing them back to you, and sending them to the store you asked us to publish to. We will not use your images in our own marketing without asking you first.

Generation is metered in tokens. Each plan includes an allowance, and the app quotes the cost of a generation before you run it. A generation that fails is refunded to your balance; one that succeeds is charged whether or not you like the result, because the cost of producing it has already been incurred.

Paid plans renew each month until cancelled. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you are. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves you on the plan until the period you have paid for ends; we do not refund part-months.

Unused tokens do not carry into the next period. Plan limits — how many models and backgrounds you may keep — apply while you are on that plan; dropping to a smaller plan does not delete what you have made, but it may stop you making more until you are back under the limit.

We aim to keep Softbox running and will not pretend to guarantee it. The service depends on providers we do not control — Google Cloud for generation, your own store platform for publishing — and an outage at one of those is an outage here. We do not offer a service level agreement on any plan described on this site.

Softbox produces a likeness, not a photograph of a real event. Models are generated people. If you are required to disclose that imagery is AI-generated — by a marketplace, an advertising regulator, or the law where you sell — doing so is your responsibility, because only you know where the images are published.

You can close your account at any time from Account → Delete account, which removes your content as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, does not pay, or is being used in a way that threatens the service for other people — and except where it is urgent, we will tell you why first.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost sales or lost data.

We will email the address on your account before any change that affects you takes effect. Continuing to use Softbox after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, close the account.

These terms are governed by the law of Pakistan, and the parties submit to the courts of Pakistan. Questions go to info@codinative.com.
